"Think about this: If we really have been given the gift of life that will never end, And if we have been filled with living hope, we're gonna overflow. And if God's love is burning in our hearts, we're gonna glow. There's just no way to keep it in! So, Wake the neighbors, Get the word out. Come on, crank up the music, climb a mountain and shout! This is life we've been given, made to be lived out. So, la, la, la, la, live out loud!" Steven Curtis Chapman - Live out Loud -

What are we saved from?
Here is a thought:
I was talking with a friend of mine and he asked me if I was saved. Well of course I said: Yes! Because I remember the night I asked Christ to come into my life. But then he asked me what I was saved from. Well, I told him from my own self, my sin, from eternal death...etc. He told me: Wrong. Here is what he said:
We are saved: 1. By God
2. For God
3. From God
Christ chose to save us. We deserved death. We still deserve death. But God did not unleash His wrath on us. Just like in the Chronicles of Narnia with Aslan the lion. God is good even awesome and amazing but He is not tame or safe. But Christ in His Sovereignty chose to give us a chance to escape this wrath (what Satan and his follwers will receive) and has give us the chance for eternal life forever living for Christ and glorifying His name. Although we may not live up to that yet here on earth, it is something we should strive for. No one is perfect, but because Christ is perfect, we must strive to be like Him, we must strive for perfection.
I'd like to hear ya'll's thoughts on this. Thanks!
